How many take offs and landings do I need?

The requirement is for six landings to be completed, including at least one full stop landing.
In the case of an application for a multi pilot airplane; if you have logged more than 500 hours flying experience on multi pilot airplanes of similar size and performance, you may reduce the requirement to a minimum of four landings in the aircraft. The Authority defines similar types as aircraft similar in size and performance.

Do you provide takes offs and landings (base check)?

As your training provider we are obligated to do so, if you choose to do the base check elsewhere you must talk to us first. All training must be conducted under a TRTO or FTO to be approved.
We will arrange the base check acc. JAR FCL 1.261 with Sterling Airlines usually within 1-3 weeks after your skill test. Note: Flight Training is a separate contract with the Airline!!!!

Why is your course longer/shorter than other TRTO?

Since the simulator flying is the most challenging task during the course it’s important to look at the amount of simulator hours when you compare offers from different TRTO’s.
Our aim is quality! That’s why our courses have more than the 36 hours (including LPC) required by JAA.
